The Foundation Abreu Callado, in partnership with Sovena since 2008 developed the olive growing aerea, and created the company Sociedade Olivícola F.A.Callado , which uses land located on Benavila for olive cultivation covering a total of 500 hectares.
On a second stage, the Foundation will develop it´s own brand of olive oil (already registered), named as "Fio from Maranhão".
